WELCOME! ~ A LITTLE ABOUT THIS BLOG...

For many years, I have collected and continue to collect quotes, thoughts, & stories. It gives me the opportunity to ponder, to meditate, and be inspired to greater heights. I have a passion for life, for my religion, for the goodness of life. Through all this, it has uplifted my soul, & made me stronger emotionally & spiritually.

I thought I would share with you, as well as my own random thoughts, testimony builders, a few funnies and so forth to also give you the same opportunity.

I do hope that you enjoy this blog... and feel free to comment ~ preferably positive thoughts, as this is what this blog is all about.

Simplify

"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are."

My Sister in Haiti

I have never been to Haiti myself, but I have felt such a connection with the Haitians through my sister who has been going there for years with Healing Hands for Haiti. In light of recent catastrophic events, she was requested by Operation Smile to go with their medical team to Haiti for a couple of weeks. I found out last night that she has a blog of her and the teams' journey with the Haitian people. It is inspirational as the people there have such amazing attitudes towards all they have been through, and have such a strong relationship with God in their lives - what great testimonies and examples they are to the world. At the same time, it is heart breaking and I have been overwhelmed with emotion through the news reports, what my sister has shared, and just an overall proud feeling of what my sister is doing to offer her help --  you will need a box of tissues when you read her blog. I am so happy that she is able to go there and help these good people, I wish I could be a nurse right now to be able to help as she is, as she states that they need more nurses.
Please read her blog and share with others! Thank you!

May You Have Courage

"My final plea tonight is that you have the courage to stand firm for truth and righteousness. Because the trend in society today is away from the values and principles the Lord has given us, you will almost certainly be called upon to defend that which you believe. Unless the roots of your testimony are firmly planted, it will be difficult for you to withstand the ridicule of those who challenge your faith. When firmly planted, your testimony of the gospel, of the Savior, and of our Heavenly Father will influence all that you do throughout your life. The adversary would like nothing better than for you to allow derisive comments and criticism of the Church to cause you to question and doubt. Your testimony, when constantly nourished, will keep you safe."
